The movie industry in the Philippines seems to be slowly improving. Film production is on the rise. It can be recalled that a few decades ago, the Philippines used to be among the top countries in the world when it comes to the number of movies being produced in a year. Those golden years are obviously over. During those years, action movies were kings. Now, only a few action movies are made every year. The Philippine movie industry now is ruled by romantic comedies, dramas, and comedies. That's not to say that it's a bad thing. It's just to point out that things have really changed. Whatever the case, the industry seems to be improving as movie output is rising. It's a good sign. Who knows, this could be the beginning of the revival of Philippine cinema.
