It seems that the most ideal way to get to Batanes is through the air. There used to be a passenger boat that plies the Ilocos Norte – Batanes route but said boat no longer operates as it apparently sank a few years ago.

Batanes is one of the most picturesque places in the Philippines that's why it's a popular destination for travelers and hikers. Sadly though, it can be a bit of a hassle to get there if you don't know the means of transportation towards the islands.

Here are the possible ways on how to get to Batanes:
1. SEA Air or South East Asian Airlines. They offer flights from Manila to Batanes. Check their website or offices for more information.
2. Passenger boats from Currimao, Ilocos Norte. This can be too much of a hassle as you need to get to Currimao first if you're coming from Manila or from anywhere else. Besides, it's not sure if these boats offer daily trips.
3. There are also plane trips originating from either Laoag or Tuguegarao. But if you are coming from Manila, it's still best to take the plane from there.
